NFTS Directing Documentary 2013 graduate Emil Langballe has won the Best Documentary award at the Tampere International Film Festival for his graduation film 'Beach Boy.'
The Best Documentary winner qualifies for consideration for Oscar®, the Annual Academy Award® in the Short Documentaries Category.
The Danish film-maker has previously seen success at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival where it won Best Short Documentary.

SUMMER DOCS GRADUATE FILM SELECTED FOR HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH FESTIVAL
A film made during the NFTS Summer Docs 10 week course in 2013 has been selected in the Student Film competition for the Human Rights Watch Film Festival. The film Auntie Ganga is directed by Asmita Shrish will be shown at the festival in London and screened on 22nd March at Ritzy Cinema in Brixton.
Asmita Shrish told the NFTS: "It was a great inspiration working with you all and I cannot thank you enough to teach me to be strong and make films."
