The National Film and Television School announces it is the first film school partner for National Theatre Live and is to broadcast Harold Pinter’s No Man's Land starring Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart live to its students in Beaconsfield on December 15th 2016. The partnership is part of a wider scheme including training opportunities and apprenticeships around multi-camera direction, documentary and editing.
National Theatre Live is a project run by the National Theatre which broadcasts world-class theatre to cinemas in the UK and internationally.
The first of a series of plays to be broadcast live to NFTS students, No Man’s Land is directed by Sean Mathias and is currently playing at Wyndham’s Theatre, London.

NT Live is all about creating greater access to theatre through film, so it is fantastic to give NFTS students the chance to see this type of content. It’s incredibly important for the National Theatre to engage with new filmmaking talent and this partnership with one of the most respected film schools in the world is a great way of conveying the craft of theatre directing to the students.”

About No Man’s Land
One summer’s evening, two ageing writers, Hirst and Spooner, meet in a Hampstead pub and continue their drinking into the night at Hirst's stately house nearby. As the pair become increasingly inebriated, and their stories increasingly unbelievable, the lively conversation soon turns into a revealing power game, further complicated by the return home of two sinister younger men.
The broadcast will be followed by an exclusive Q&A with the cast and director.
